COVID-19 UPDATE:  Indian Creek Family Eye Care is excited to announce the re-opening of our clinic on Monday, May 4th!

On April 23rd, Oregon Governor Kate Brown released guidelines for re-opening medical and dental clinics.  We will be following the strict guidelines of the Oregon Health Authority, Centers for Disease Control, Hood River County Heath Department and OSHA.  These guidelines are put in place to maintain the health and welfare of our patients, staff and the community at large.  We appreciate your assistance with these requests and ask that you arrive for your appointment with patience and grace.   

 

  “As a patient, what changes should I expect?

  • Masks will be required for all patients, staff and visitors.  NO exceptions.  Please arrive wearing a mask.

  • Only patients are allowed at appointments.  Family members are invited to stay in the car.  For minors and patients with caregivers, please discuss accommodations when scheduling your appointment. 

  • The clinic space is limited to 3 patients at a time.  Once three patients are in the door, the door will be locked and a sign will be placed on the door requesting you to wait in your car. 

  • All persons entering the clinic will have their temperature checked per the Oregon Health Authority guidelines prior to evaluation.

  • Please observe the 6 ft social distancing protocol at all times.

  • If you are experiencing ANY flu like symptoms, please stay at home.  We will happily reschedule your appointment and provide you excellent care once your health returns to normal. 

  • Hand sanitizer will be stationed at the clinic entrance and throughout the clinic for your convenience. 

We have decided that all appointments will be scheduled hourly to decrease the number of patients in the office and allow all persons to maintain the 6ft social distancing requirement.  We request that you now make an appointment prior to picking up glasses and contact lenses.  If you happen to stop by, text us to see if the numbers allow for an impromptu pick up.  We will continue to offer Telehealth visits for your convenience.  If you are high risk, medically compromised, have flu like symptoms or just prefer to not to leave home, please call to have your telehealth visit arranged today. 

“What are the ICFEC team members doing to ensure health and safety?”

  • All team members will have their temperature checked prior to the start of the workday. 

  • All team members will be wearing masks for your protection and theirs.

  • Instructions have been provided by our doctors, on the proper use of hand hygiene and personal protective equipment. 

  • All equipment, doorknobs and surfaces will be wiped down with an OSHA approved sanitizing agent in between each patient encounter. 

  • Opticians will be escorting you through your shopping experience.  They will be the only one handling the frames.  After trying on a frame, it will be set aside and properly disinfected prior to being placed back on the frame board. 

  • Team members have been asked to stay home if they are not feeling well, experiencing any flu like symptoms, or have been exposed to someone who is COVID 19 positive. 

  • Our team members are here to serve you.

Drs. Cancellation Policy: It is the patient’s responsibility to keep scheduled appointments. Our practice requires notification of cancellation or changes to your appointment, 24 hours prior to your appointment or sooner if possible. Our practice will consider the appointment a No Show anytime the patient has not given 24 hour notice of cancellation or has failed to arrive within 10 minutes of the scheduled appointment time. Patients will be subject to a $25.00 missed appointment fee. No Show fees are solely the patient’s responsibility and must be paid in full before the patient’s next appointment.
