Rebecca R. Chown, OD
Dr. Rebecca Chown received her doctorate of optometry from Pacific University College of Optometry in 2003. She then served as a Captain in the United States Air Force for 3 years at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, AL, followed by 3 years at the Portland International Air Reserve Base. Dr. Chown has been a resident of the Columbia River gorge since 2006. Dr. Chown’s practice experience includes working at Oregon Health and Sciences University’s Casey Eye Institute; being the sole owner of a Medicaid only vision clinic in Vancouver, Washington, and working in a group practice.
Dr. Chown is the current Director of Public Health for the Oregon Optometric Physicians Association. She has served on several committees with the Optometric Physicians of Washington and was voted the Young O.D. of the Year for the State of Washington in 2010. Dr. Chown is passionate about children’s vision and enjoys guest lecturing and conducting pediatric vision screenings.
In her spare time, Dr. Chown enjoys the great outdoors with her husband, two young children and their 3 year old labradoodle Gryffindor. Whether it is hiking Catherine Creek, biking the Mosier tunnels, or running along Indian Creek Trail…Dr. Chown has made the gorge her playground and home.
Audrey Lukey, OD
Indian Creek Family Eye Care welcomes Audrey Lukey, O.D., to our practice. Dr. Lukey is originally from Chicago, but her passion for travel has led her to care for patients in Honduras, Guatemala, Australia, and Dubai as well as the United States. Her special interests include specialty contact lenses and eye disease.
Dr. Lukey received her Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from Illinois College of Optometry and holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Augustana College. She speaks basic Spanish and is experienced with the latest in vision technology. Dr. Lukey’s other interests make her a great fit for the Columbia Gorge. Not only does she love water sports and exploring the outdoors, but she is an accomplished harpist, woodworker, and Pilates instructor. Welcome, Dr. Lukey!
